WBEX antique clock Featured on History Channel Program

A part of Chillicothe  history appeared on the History Channel Sunday night.

The program American Pickers featured an antique clock bearing signage  from Chillicothe's first commercial radio station, 1490, WBEX AM.  The  clock was found at a home in Virginia, and it's not sure how the clock made  it from Chillicothe to Virginia. When the clock was plugged in, it lit up and  began to keep time.   It's unknown how old the clock is, but is  believed to be from the late 1940s or early 1950s.  WBEX began  broadcasting in Chillicothe in September, 1947.

The episode of American  Pickers "Guitars, Guns, and Gears", will be re-broadcast Friday night, October  26th at 8pm on the History Channel.
