Circleville authorities are investigating threats to three banks and a hair salon from Tuesday morning. According to Police Chief Wayne Gray, the U.S. Bank on East Main Street and the Savings Bank on North Court Street locked down due to threats they received.
The Police Chief said Angelina's Hair Salon on Mound Street and possibly a third bank received threats as well, but that bank did not lock down.
Authorities say the threats were similar in that the businesses received phone calls in which they were given instructions to follow and told people with guns and bombs could entered their businesses if they didn't comply.
The Police Chief would not disclose what the instructions were but said authorities believe the threats were connected.
