The Ross County Sheriff's Office was called to Zane Trace Middle School on a report of an altercation that took place during a biddy ball tournament game, Sunday night.

A parent told authorities she ran onto the court because she thought her daughter was hurt following an incident between some of the female players.

Authorities say another woman was knocked to the ground while trying to keep spectators apart.

"There was pushing and shoving going on," said Sheriff George Lavender.

He said there was also arguing taking place between fans in the Chillicothe and Huntington bleacher sections.

No charges were filed, but the game was suspended.
