The Pickaway County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a two vehicle fatal crash that occurred at approximately 8:14am Saturday, on US 23 North of Little Walnut Road in Pickaway County.

A 1995 Ford Ranger driven by Marvin H. Petty, 52, of Circleville, was traveling southbound on US 23 when he crossed the median striking a 1998 International tractor and trailer.

Circleville Fire and EMS along with Harrison Township Fire Department responded to the scene and extracted Petty by mechanical means. Petty was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pickaway County Coroner.

The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured. Weather is believed to be a factor in the accident and the crash remains under investigation.
