Some things are just too hard to stay away from. Ice cream, chocolate, mom's apple pie- and for high school coach Scott Bartholomew- football.

Less than two months after officially handing-in his resignation, Bartholomew has accepted an offer from Logan Elm High School to stay-on as the head coach.

Bartholomew told WKKJ Sports at the time of his resignation, that he was stepping-down to pursue an interest in becoming a school administrator, but wasn't saying he would not ever coach again. Well, that day came much sooner than maybe even he thought.

According to a published article in the "Circleville Herald", Bartholomew said the school had approached him about staying on as football coach, "saying they were having difficulty coming to an agreement with the individuals they were interested in over positions withing the district".

Bartholomew will remain the Logan Elm Athletic Director and business teacher at the school. His career record stands at (146-76) and is (33-13) with the Braves over four seasons- including three playoff appearances.
