Friday has been a history making day in Pike County High School sports.

The Eastern Eagles made their school's first-ever trip to the State Final Four, as their volleyball team faced Kidron Central Christian, losing in five thrilling sets in the Division 4 State Semis to conclude a fantastic (27-1) season under long-time Coach Janet Day.




The Piketon Redstreaks are making their first football trip to the Regional Semis, traveling to Logan High School tonight against Saint Clairsville. The Red Devils are (11-0) while Piketon is (9-2). It is only the second time a Piketon football team has even been in the post-season, and the first time they have advanced to the second round.
