Adena had one of their best shooting nights of the season in a 56-35 win over Paint Valley Friday to conclude SVC regular season play. The Warriors connected on 21/38 for 55% from the field, including 6/10 from the arc.
The Bearcats struggled through a 13/47 shooting night for only 28%- including 4/16 from the arc.
Three Warriors were in double figures scoring, with senior Michael Bryant leading the way with 15 points and 6 rebounds, followed by Jonathan Thomas with 12 points and Ethan Sheppard with 10. Hunter Miller added 7.
Paint Valley had 16 points out of Clay Stratton and 9 from Michael McCloy.
Adena improves to (4-10/4-17) and concludes the regular season at home with a non-conference game against Portsmouth West Saturday. It is only a varsity game night with tip-off at 7:30pm. Adena opens tourney play against Westfall at 6:15pm Tuesday in the Division 3 Sectional Semis at Waverly Downtown Gym.
Paint Valley falls to (2-12/7/14) and opens tourney play Monday against West Union at Waverly Downtown Gym at 7pm. Both PV and Adena tourney games are on 94 Country WKKJ with airtime 15 minutes prior to tip-off.
