A one-vehicle crash on State Route 180 near Adelphi late Sunday- is under investigation by the Ohio Highway Patrol. The Ross County Sheriff dispatched the accident, but was handled by the State Patrol.

Lt. John Moore says 32-year-old Scott E. Karshner, of Kingston, was driving westbound on Route 180 when he lost control of his car, going off the road and hitting a guardrail, a fence then a culvert. Karshner and his passenger, Cody Schwalbauch, were both ejected from the car. Karshner was flown to OSU Hospital for his injuries, while Schwalbauch taken to Adena Regional Medical Center.

Schwalbauch had given officers false information, stating his name was "Aaron Schwalbauch." The patrol says he has been cited in the matter.

In a separate incident, a hit-skip was reported to the Ross County Sheriff where 28-year-old Amber Wilson of Western Avenue, was walking along Western Avenue near Pizza Hut- when her arm was hit by the mirror of a passing vehicle, that did not stop after the incident.
