Traffic Enforcement Blitz

Every available law enforcement officer is watching motorists this week in Ross County.

Chillicothe Police, Ross County Sheriff and State Highway Patrol are joining forces for a traffic enforcement blitz this week, in an effort to reduce what has turned into a record pace of fatal crashes in the county.

That's Lt. John Moore of the Ohio Highway Patrol says many of this year's 12 fatals have been in the western half of the county and within three miles of the Chillicothe city limits.... 04-17 Lt. John Moore

The enforcement blitz is looking for distracted drivers and those not wearing their seat belts. A recent motorist survey showed only 59% of Ross Countians were wearing their seat belt. Sheriff George Lavender.... 04-17 George Lavender
