Savings Bank Celebrates 100 Years

A new bank building and $20,000 for the Pickaway Food Pantry are gifts from the bank

It's official; the Circleville Savings Bank is one hundred years old, and almost 300 share holders, employees, family and friends from the community and far and wide came to celebrate, Friday night.

Circleville's Mayor Don McIlroy had a special birthday present in store.

President and CEO of the Savings Bank, Stephen Gary had a big announcement of his own Friday, that includes plans for a new building.

The construction of an 11,000 square foot facility will be built on North Court Street in the parking lot that is owned by The Savings Bank next to the Elks Building.

 What Will Go in the New Building

Gary wanted to stress that they will not leave the current building empty.

 The Old Building Will Stay

Saving the best for last, a birthday present was given by the bank to the Clearing House Food Pantry who will receive $20,000 for the next five years in honor of the bank's 100th birthday.
