The school is answering allegations they let the student-teacher go because she is trans-gender.
Hillsboro City schools is facing an accusation of letting go a student teacher because that teacher is trans-gender.
But, Hillsboro Superintendent Rick Earley said that is untrue, stressing she was let go because of what she said to the students.
Earley said that when they do have student teachers they are expected to operate in a professional manner.
The incident happened back in January in a high school art class.
Mr. Earley stated the teacher was not let go because she is trans-gender, and that student teacher will not be replaced at the school.
