2 Part Time Police Officers Hired Tuesday

Waverly Village Council met Tuesday night with Mary Ellen Cormany acting as Council President in Council President Tom Patterson's absence.

Council approved the hiring of two part time Police Officers and one part time Dispatcher.

Council also discussed what to do with nuisance properties in the Village.

Council approved the use of almost 23,000 dollars for paving along Morning Side Drive. The money has already been budgeted for paving this year.

Any one who did not file a City Income Tax will be getting a letter in the mail soon, the Village is sending out letters to people who did not file on time this year.

Many of those who did not file did not owe any taxes but still must file or they could be hit with fines.

Also discussed was The Pike County Swim Club. They will get some water to fill their pool thanks to Council. The Club has an outstanding water bill of 4,000 with the Water Company.

Council wants to draw up a payment plan with the Club for future bills.
