Jeffery Remy, who fled in a cornfield, pleaded guilty in Municipal Court, Thursday.
A man who led authorities on a pursuit that ended in a cornfield pleaded guilty in Chillicothe Municipal Court, Thursday. Last October, authorities said 48-year-old Jeffery L. Remy, of Ray, stole a bike from K-Mart, on North Bridge Street, and fled to a Seney Road cornfield.
After searching for nearly 2 hours, authorities found Remy on foot in the field.
Remy's attorney said he pleaded guilty to failure to comply (third-degree felony) and receiving stolen property (fifth-degree felony).
For the offenses, he will serve a 2-year sentence and 10-month sentence concurrently.
