Ross County second-half real estate taxes are due by July 13th.
Second-half real estate tax payments for Ross County are due Friday, July 13th. County Treasurer Jerry Byers is reminding taxpayers that Ohio law requires that a 10% penalty be imposed on all payments received after the due date; payments may be postmarked by the due date.
Starting Monday, the treasurer’s office will be open longer with hours from 8:30a.m. to 6:00 p.m. through July 13th.
Taxpayers who wait until Friday night are still able to get their payments in on time by placing them in either the night deposit slot at the Treasurer’s office or the drive-up tax payment box located in the parking lot of the Ross County Service Center on Western Avenue. All payments deposited before midnight on the due date will be considered timely.
E-check or credit card payments made through the treasurer’s website before midnight will also be on time.
Taxpayers who receive a separate manufactured home bill have until July 31st to make those payments.
