Officials say the blaze started in the attached garage, Friday.
A Kingston house caught fire, Friday. Colerain and Green Township fire departments responded to 1713 Oak Lane just prior to 5pm. According to the Ross County Sheriff's Office, the fire started in the attached garage.
Homeowner Michael Sturgill told authorities his wife was alerted to the blaze when their dogs started barking.
Everyone was able to get out of the home safely.
The sheriff's report indicated the house did not appear to suffer a total loss, though, the garage was severely damaged.
