The free event takes place August 2nd from 4-8 p.m.
The Ross County Sheriff's and Chillicothe Police departments are teaming up to host the 3rd annual National Night Out on August 2nd.
Chillicothe Police Officer Bud Lytle said it's thrown by the National Association of Town Watches: "Throughout the country, different communities come together, and, basically, it's communities taking a stand against crimes; that's the idea of it."
The free local event will take place in Yoctangee Park from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 2nd.
It will include a car show, military, police, and fire displays, inflatables, music, and food.
