Police say two men entered the Sherman Park home after the residents were taken to jail.

On Friday, authorities conducted two drug raids in Sherman Park that resulted in four arrests. Chillicothe Police say they were called back to one of the raided apartments, after 11 p.m. that day, on an anonymous call that people were inside of the home while the two adult residents were in jail.

Authorities say they saw 29-year-old Ralph Payne and 26-year-old Justin West, both of Chillicothe, walk out of the residence. The two reportedly told police they were looking to see if there were any items worth taking and that the superintendent allows people inside the homes after the residents are evicted.

Police advised the men that the residents, Amy Holdren and Timothy Kerry, were in jail - not evicted.

West was found with a pocket knife, while Payne had pills, strips of Suboxone, and a digital scale with suspected marijuana.

Both were arrested for burglary.

Evidence has been sent to BCI&I for testing, and the case will be forwarded to the prosecutor's office for possible presentation to the grand jury.
