The Elyria, Ohio man was found dead in the vendors camping area Saturday
A patron of the Easy Rider Rodeo has died at the Ross County Fairgrounds.
Ross County Sheriff George Lavender reports that deputies responded to a call at approximately 8am Saturday concerning an unresponsive male in the vendors camping area. Deputies arrived and found a male slumped over in a chair unresponsive in his assigned campsite. Union Township EMS arrived and checked the male subject and was found to have no signs of life.
The Ross County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and the male subject was pronounced deceased. There were several items of drug paraphernalia found at the victim’s feet.
The Ross County Sheriff’s Office, and Coroner’s Office continue to investigate this incident. The male subject was identified at the scene, but his name is not being released until notification can be made to his family. The Ross County Sheriff’s Office is working with the Elyria, Ohio Police Department to notify family. The victim was a resident of Elyria.
