Officials say they've identified the body found in the Scioto River in 1975.
Ross County Coroner Dr. John Gabis says a positive identification has been made on the body that was found in the Scioto River back in 1975. Last November, the male body was exhumed, and in May, photos of a facial reconstruction sculpture were distributed. According to the coroner's office, a relative of a missing person saw the sculpture, saw a resemblance, and made contact to the office. Testing was conducted and came back as a match.
The man's name has not been released pending notification of family members.
