Multiple Searches Net Five Arrests

The arrests were drug related

Five people were arrested as the result of multiple searches for drug activity in Chillicothe Thursday.

The Special Response Team and Detectives of the Chillicothe Police Department executed a search warrant at 632 Pickens Avenue Thursday at 4pm. During the search of the residence a large amount heroin and cocaine, a large amount of cash, and items of drug paraphernalia were found inside of the residence. Arrested were the residents 62-year-old Randolph Hamm, 26-year-old Ryan Hatfield, and 26-year-old Brandon Russell.

Listed in the search warrant was a vehicle, which left the residence just prior to the search warrant being served. The vehicle was stopped and an occupant of the vehicle was found to be in possession of a large amount of cocaine and heroin. Arrested from this traffic stop was 41-year-old Lamont Ellington of Columbus.

Following this traffic stop, information was received on the residence at 574 Beechwood Street, which the Chillicothe Police Department has received several additional tips concerning possible drug activity. A search warrant was obtained and executed for this residence. Upon entering the residence, David Young was attempting to flush a bag of marijuana. The 29-year-old Young of Concord Church Road was arrested out of this search warrant.
