Scioto Trails Project Proposal

Public input is being sought by ODOT for culvert replacements

As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation - District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department is seeking public input on a proposed project.

The project is for Scioto Trail State Forest. The proposal is to repair or replace 47 culverts along Forest Roads 2, 3 and 4 in Scioto Trail State Forest. The project also include 3.7 miles of chip-seal paving on these roads.

The project is located in a rural area in Huntington Township of Ross County. No new right of way will be required for any of this project, and no homes or businesses will be removed as a result of the project.

Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources. Written comments should be submitted by September 27th or the deadline date that is posted on the web site, to Greg Manson, Environmental Supervisor ODOT District 9 P.O. Box 467; 650 Eastern Avenue in Chillicothe.
