The accident occurred on State Route 772, Tuesday morning.

A local guidance counselor was injured in a two-vehicle crash, Tuesday morning. According to the Highway Patrol, 53-year-old Debbie Shoemaker, of Chillicothe, was driving southbound on State Route 772 at 7:50am when a northbound vehicle driven by 50-year-old Chris Blaun, of Waverly, went left of center and hit Shoemaker's vehicle head-on, causing her vehicle to go off the road.

Shoemaker, who is the Huntington Middle School guidance counselor, was flown to OSU Medical Center with non-incapacitating injuries.

Blaun was taken to Adena Regional Medical Center.
