It was 7.1% in September.

(AP)  State officials say the monthly job figures for Ohio show more improvement, dropping from 7.1% in September to 6.9% in October.

That's the first time at under 7% since 2008.

While the report was encouraging, Ohio is far from being out of the woods, according to Ben Johnson of Ohio Department of Job & Family Services.
