Frontier Community Services receives Excellence in Service Award.
Frontier Community Services of Chillicothe, Ohio, has been chosen to receive the Carol M. Peterson Excellence in Service Award from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati.
The award carries a grant of $75,000 toward the construction of a home for a special needs family. The award was presented Tuesday at the Ohio Housing Conference in Columbus.
Frontier Community Services is working with Ohio Valley Bank of Gallipolis, Ohio, a locally owned member bank that has partnered with Frontier Community on many successful projects.
The purpose of the Excellence in Service Award is to recognize nonprofit agencies for their work in affordable housing for special needs families.
The award includes up to a $75,000 grant to construct a single-family dwelling, in partnership with a FHLBank member institution, for a special needs household.
Frontier Community Services, Inc. has received 17 AHP awards since 1997, for the development of rental and ownership housing. It has completed more than 90 units for special needs or elderly households.
