Two drug dealiers in Pike County are facing a judge soon
A business woman and her husband face long prison sentences for the operation of a Waverly pill mill when they appear before a federal judge in Cincinnati.
Investigators say the couple's "Ohio Medical and Pain Management" clinic in Waverly was responsible for the sale of illegal painkiller prescriptions in southern Ohio.
Prosecutors have recommended 12½ years in prison for Lester Sadler when he is sentenced Monday - and 17½ years for his wife, Nancy Sadler, whose sentencing is Tuesday.
In pushing for lesser sentences, the Sadlers' attorneys cite the couple's health problems and blame others for the clinic's problems.
Drug overdose deaths have surpassed car accidents as the leading cause of accidental death in Ohio and several other states.
