Traffic violations and criminal convictions will now cost offenders in Waverly a bit more.

Members of Waverly Village Council voted unanimously to increase court costs for traffic violations and criminal convictions during their Tuesday session.

Court costs for traffic violations will now cost $85, up from $75, and criminal convictions will now cost $85, up from $65.

Council President Tom Patterson says the increase was necessary to provide sufficient resources to continue Mayor's Court operations.
