Police say children were removed from the Lincoln Park home, Tuesday.

Children were removed from a home after police found evidence of heroin use inside. Officials with the Chillicothe Police Department say they served a search warrant at 203 Lincoln Park at around 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, and found evidence of heroin use and trafficking.

The residents, Letha Atencio and Leland Brandon, were arrested for misdemeanor child endangering. Atencio also had an outstanding warrant from Pike County.

Police say additional charges could be pending based on chemical analysis from BCI&I.

Authorities say the home was deplorable, and the two small children, as well as three other siblings who were not there at the time, have been put in the custody of a relative.
