The 6.9 mil property tax proposal will be officially approved for the ballot at Monday's board meeting
A property tax levy is coming for residents of the Chillicothe City School system.
It becomes official when the board of education votes on the resolution at their meeting Monday night, but the district is launching the levy campaign Friday at the Chillicothe Boys Basketball game.
Superintendent Jon Saxton says they have made over $6 million in cuts and have gone eight years since their last levy increase, and now have to seek more revenue.
