Pickaway County Sheriff Dwight Radcliff retires at the first of the year
While a family legacy will continue, a history making stretch of local law enforcement will end in early January with the retirement of Pickaway County Sheriff Dwight Radcliff.
Radcliff, who holds the record for being the longest-serving county sheriff in U.S. history, says of the many changes he has seen in his 48 years as sheriff, the most troubling is the easing of sentencing for serious offenses.
Dwight's son, Robert, continues a Radcliff family legacy, when he is sworn-in as Pickaway County Sheriff next month. Dwight's father, spent 30 years as county sheriff.
Dwight Radcliff's last day on the job will be January 6th.
