Patrick Thompson is also a suspect in a series of other such thefts.

A man suspected of a series of local purse snatchings, has been arrested by Chillicothe Police. The arrest came Tuesday afternoon after an eyewitness saw a man running in an alley off South Paint Street, just after a car window had been broken and a purse inside the car taken.

Officers and Detectives located the suspect on East Second Street near the Majestic Theater. He was identified as Patrick Thompson. Thompson admitted to being involved in the theft and told officers where he had disposed of the purse.

He was also implicated in recent thefts from locker rooms at OU-Chillicothe.

Thompson was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief, Grand Theft. Numerous theft charges from the OU-C incident are pending as well.

At this time, Thompson has denied any involvement in the other thefts from vehicles that have been occurring. They are still under investigation.
