The program runs through the Paint Valley ADAMH Board
The Paint Valley Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMH) Board and The Ross County Juvenile Court are joining up with Family and Children First Councils in Fayette, Highland, Pickaway, Pike and Ross Counties to collaborate on an Anti Bullying project.
The project will provide information to area sixth graders on the definition of bullying, strategies to stay bully free and informational brochures for the student and parents.
Family and Children First coordinators along with volunteers will be in the classrooms to facilitate the program and students will be asked to sign the school commitment banner for a Bullying Free School. Participants will receive a wrist band and will also be eligible to participate in an art contest where students will work together individually or as a team to submit either a drawing, painting, photograph or video. The entries will be on display at the Pump House Center for the Arts beginning Wednesday, March 20th.
Sharon Cryder Director of the Pump House Center for the Arts will judge the competition. A reception and awards presentation will occur on Friday March 22nd from 5pm to 7pm. The public is invited.
