Authorities say the victim was taken to the hospital, Tuesday.

A Chillicothe man was arrested for assaulting a 15-year-old boy while they were playing video games at a Sherman Park home, Tuesday. A witness told police that 18-year-old Bobby Sherrick hit the boy in the face with an open palm because he kept calling Sherrick by the wrong name. Sherrick also gave this account to cops.

The victim, however, told authorities Sherrick hit him after he beat Sherrick in a video game.

Authorities said the boy had a bloody nose and chin, and he was taken by squad to Adena Regional Medical Center.

Sherrick was arrested for assault and taken to the Ross County Jail.
