Ross County Commissioners approved funding for repairs at the Rocky Knob tower and are awaiting pricing for work at Tar Hollow.

Repairs need to be made to a couple county radio towers that are used by fire and EMS. On Monday, Ross County Commissioners allocated funds for repairs to part of the repeater system at Rocky Knob.

"A device that's part of the repeater system, ... is faulty and needs to be replaced," said Ralph Anderson, of B & C Communications.

"Tar Hollow has a problem with its antenna or coax that goes to the top of the tower, and you can't really know which until you get up to the top of the coax and put a meter on it."

Commissioners approved around $2,400 for the Rocky Knob replacement equipment.

Anderson said he'll be looking to get pricing on the repairs needed at the Tar Hollow tower and hopes to get a good deal on the work.
