Ohio law forbids serving alcohol to underage drinkers

Alcohol parties for underage drinkers is against the law. As simple as that almost sounds to say, many adults commit this crime every year.

Chillicothe Police Officer Bud Lytle encourages parents to keep booze out of the party planning for teens this spring and summer.

Lytle adds that adults that serve alcohol to underage drinkers at their home, are responsible for injuries or infractions with the law those people experience after leaving the party.

He urges teens to stay away from substance abuse and make good decisions, that will do more to protect them from serious injury.

All of Chillicothe and Ross County proms are in April this year.
