The incident happened as she hiked in Great Seal Park
A woman was injured after being attacked by dogs in Great Seal Park late Thursday afternoon.
Ross County Sheriff Deputies responded to a call from Gray's husband, who had contacted her by cellphone, where he learned of the incident.
Holly J. Gray was hiking in the park when she came upon three dogs eating an animal carcass. The dogs saw Mrs Gray and charged her, pinning her against a tree. She said she tried to fend the dogs off with a stick, but was unsuccessful.
When deputies arrived, two dogs ran away, but a third dog, which was a Boxer, charged the deputy, who fatally shot the animal.
Mrs Gray was taken to Adena Regional Medical Center, where she had several puncture wounds to her lower body from dog bites.
