Helps the vision impaired stay in their own homes
People with vision impairments now have an ally in helping to keep them in their homes.
Donna Higgins, assistant director for Ross County Home Health's Low Vision Program says there are three components to the program: assessments, adaptions and education.
She says it eligible for payment through Medicare and some Medicaid funds. She adds that some private insurance will also cover the cost.
The program is also available in some of the counties surrounding Ross.
