Students collected over $1,200 worth of material
Rumpke Recycling and the Logan Elm School District partnered to collect more than 32,000 aluminum cans and nearly 5,500 lbs. of steel from January 28 to May 1, to fund a scholarship program at Logan Elm High School.
First Place: $75, Andrea Mitchel, junior; collected 76 lbs. of cans.Second Place: $25, Rodney Lucas, senior; collected 46 lbs. of cans.
Students took more than 1,000 lbs. of aluminum cans and nearly 5,500 lbs. of steel to the Rumpke Recycling Buy-Back in Circleville and earned a $1,200 payback. Tarlton Town Tavern contributed more than half of the total cans collected.
