Updates on the South Carolina wreck of a bus returning the Southeastern High School Band
The driver of a charter bus hauling members of the Southeastern High School Band, has died after a crash on the return trip from a performance at Disney World.
The accident happened at about 4:30am Sunday near Hendersonville, South Carolina along I-95.
The bus driver was transported to a South Carolina hospital, but died en route. One of the parents suffered a possible dislocated knee, where they underwent surgery. The students were shaken up but none suffered serious injuries.
Most of the passengers were taken to Colleton Medical Center near Hendersonville, South Carolina.
The bus was from Muskingum Charter.
Another bus was sent to bring the students home from South Carolina, arriving at Southeastern High School at 2am Monday.
