Two vacant farm houses in Pike County were recently destroyed by fire.
The Division of State Fire Marshal is seeking public assistance in solving two unsolved arson cases in Pike County. Investigators believe that the two may be related as both took place at vacant farmhouses between the 5,000 and 6,000 blocks of Clines Chapel Road in Waverly. The first took place at 2:30am, July 5th, while the second was at 4am, July 7th. Both properties are total losses.
There was also a residential fire in the 4,000-block of Clines Chapel on July 4th; although, this was not investigated by the Division of State Fire Marshal.
"It is imperative that individuals come forward," said State Fire Marshal Larry Flowers (pictured).
"Investigators want to hear from anyone who saw something out of the ordinary at or around the time of the fires or who may have heard someone speaking about the fires with an unusual level of interest or knowledge."
Anyone with information is asked to call the State Fire Marshal’s Fire & Explosion Investigation Bureau at 1-800-589-2728.
