Pastor Fred Fox has spent all 40 years of his ministry at First Wesleyan Church on Mulberry Street
A local pastor is celebrating 40 years at the same Chillicothe church.
Fred Fox of First Wesleyan Church was honored in a special service and ceremony at Chillicothe High School Auditorium Sunday, drawing practically a full-house.
Pastor Fox, a Coshocton native, says he had friends in college that attended the church, which is how he first became aware of the community. He later excepted a "calling from the Lord" to apply for the opening as pastor at the church in 1973.
The Reverend Fox, who often asks people to simply refer to him as "Fred", is well-known in the community for his support of the Ross County Fair's junior livestock sales over the years and his support for area youth in high school sports.
