Authorities were contacted after a gun transaction outside a bank caused a teller to fear that the bank would be robbed.
Authorities were alerted following a gun transaction outside of a bank in Adelphi, Thursday.
Officials with the Ross County Sheriff's Office say a teller inside Kingston National Bank saw four males pull in front of the bank and taking guns out of one of the vehicles, which led the teller to believe the office was about to be robbed. Bank staff locked down the bank, contacted the Sheriff's Department, and gave a description of the vehicles, which later left the scene.
Authorities say they were able to stop the subjects, and investigation revealed they had arranged online to meet so they could buy firearms from one another.
No arrests have been made, but authorities say the case remains under investigation and future charges are possible.
