The head of the Ross Fire & Rescue Association is putting out a plea for more help
Volunteers are the lifeblood of township fire and EMS squads throughout Ross County, and more volunteers are needed.
Ross Fire & Rescue Association President Rusty Flannery says the way to get started, is to apply for testing and training to become a firefighter or squad member. He says the actual certification is one of the more difficult aspects of the process.
Most township departments within Ross County utilize volunteer personnel, with a few actually having some paid firefighters during daytime hours.
