January is National Stalking Awareness Month, and victim advocates are trying to spread the word that stalking is a serious issue with 3.4 million Americans stalked annually.
Valerie Metz, a victim advocate with Fayette County Victim Witness, defined stalking as conduct directed at a person that would cause a reasonable person to be afraid, and said that victims need to immediately report any misconduct to authorities.
