Officials from West Virginia search for body of woman in Jackson County over the weekend.

Officials from a West Virginia Sheriff's office along with other assisting agencies were in Jackson County on Friday and Sunday looking for body parts of a dismembered West Virginia Woman.

Officials believe that Carol Rhim of West Virginia was killed and dismembered by Roy Lawton of Institute W. VA, and some of her body parts were scattered along US 35 from Jackson to Point Pleasant W. VA. When Officials entered Lawton's home on Thursday they found Lawton dead and parts of Carol Rhim's body in the trunk of Lawton's car.

Officials were seen between the Broadway St exit in Jackson county and the rest area on US 35. Their search appeared to be unsuccuessful. We will have more on this story as it develops.
