Since April 2009, ACP has experienced one recordable injury/illness
Employees at USEC Inc.’s American Centrifuge Plant (ACP) in Piketon recently reached a major industrial safety milestone by working two million hours without experiencing a days-away injury.
A "days-away" injury occurs when an employee is unable to perform normal work activities or is absent from work as the result of a recordable injury or illness. USEC’s staff achieved this milestone on January 13.
Since April 2009, ACP has experienced one recordable injury/illness, which did not result in a lost work day. The last days-away injury at ACP Piketon occurred more than four years ago.
USEC Inc., a global energy company, is a leading supplier of enriched uranium fuel and nuclear industry related services for commercial nuclear power plants.
