A man carrying drugs into the city was nabbed not long after getting into the city

On Friday, Chillicothe Police seized about $32,700 worth of pills and $2,000 worth of heroin after getting a tip about a large shipment of pills that were coming into the city on a Greyhound Bus. Officers saw a subject getting off the bus and into a taxi, which authorities followed and stopped for a traffic violation. The department's canine alerted to the area where the passenger, Debrossard Hasani, was sitting. A large number of pills, heroin and some loaded handguns were found in Hasani's possession, so he was arrested on charges of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Drug Abuse Heroin.

The stop also resulted in a search warrant being served at 231 Scioto Ave. Authorities found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, cash, and a firearm. 34-year-old Antoine E. Terry was arrested in the incident for having weapons under disability.

Additional charges may be presented to the Ross County Grand Jury.
