The elementary school was placed on lockdown, Friday, but the threat was found to be unsubstantiated.

Unioto Elementary School was placed on a lock down Friday afternoon after the school received information about a possible threat.

Superintendent Dwight Garrett says the lock down was done as a precautionary measure. He says they contacted the Ross County Sheriff's Office, who investigated and told the school the threat was unsubstantiated.

Garrett says the lock down was lifted within 10-15 minutes.
