Mayor Jack Everson says the proof is in the frequent visits from presidential candidates.

Chillicothe's mayor says the continuing path of presidential campaigning that comes through our city, is a good sign that what residents think has a national impact.

Mayor Jack Everson is hearing that President Obama could be returning to the first capital later this year. Republican Rick Santorum will be at Chillicothe HS Gym this Friday at 9am.

Everson says these types of campaign stops prove that Chillicothe's status as the "first capital of Ohio"- still carries some weight with leaders.
