Five people have died in traffic accidents in Ross & Pike counties
We have gotten off to a bad start concerning traffic safety in the Ross and Pike county areas, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.
Lt. John Moore, commander of the Chillicothe Patrol Post, says we have already experienced five fatalities in the two counties, with four of those in Ross County.
Moore says most of these have been "left-of-center" mishaps that indicate "operator error". He adds that some of the crashes might have been related to the drivers being distracted by something other than what was happening on the road.
