Mt. Logan 1st grade teacher Lynne Miller passed away, Saturday.

The Chillicothe Local School District is mourning the loss of first grade teacher Lynne Miller. The 50-year-old teacher passed away unexpectedly at her home, Saturday.

Miller had been working at Mt. Logan Elementary School, but, overall, she worked for the Chillicothe City Schools for 23 years.

Superintendent Jon Saxton says she will be missed beyond words: "Lynne Miller was an outstanding teacher, and I don't know that I could tell you how much she will missed; it's that much. It's hard to gage how much someone who was that important to her building and to her students and to her colleagues will be missed. It's just a tragic, unexpected loss."

Calling hours are on Wednesday from 5-8pm at Haller Funeral Home. Her funeral will be held Thursday at 3pm and burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.

Chillicothe Schools will be dismissing early, Thursday.
